I chose the Caseology Legion after I read an article about how it will protect a phone against a 16 drop. With what I read about the Legion and the $14.99 price, I decided to try it.
I pre-ordered it before I bought my phone and it finally came today.
I have always used an Otterbox Symmetry case and I purchased one for my new iPhone Xs Max while waiting for the Legion to come, I did not like the changes they made from the case I had on my 6S so I am returning it.Pros: - The rose gold is very pretty.
Color is lighter than the stock photo and that is fine with me. - The lip around the glass and camera is slightly higher than the Otterbox Symmetry - The back of the phone feels slightly textured so it doesnt feel slippery.
- The buttons are very responsive.Cons: - The case goes on easier than the Otterbox Symmetry. The fit isnt as snug and that concerns me.
- The rubber lip around the front isnt as grippy (it feels slippery) as the Otterbox and Im not sure I like that since i usually lay my phone face down so it wont slide around if bumped.
- The opening for the left speaker is larger than it needs to be (same size as the right one).I gave it a four star rating due to the cons I listed. Its not bad for an inexpensive case.
If it protects my phone in a fall like it says it will, then it was worth buying it.Update: I’ve been using the case 5 days and it already has a scratch on the back.
I’m disappointed it’s not more durable with light use especially when it’s rated for a 16’drop. When I received it, I was concerned it would scratch easily.
I’m really careful with my phone and lay it face down so I’m not sure how it scratched so quickly.Update about 8 months later: Adding photos to show how easily the back of the case scratches just by using a pop socket.
It has protected my phone from damaged when it was knocked off an end table onto the hardwood floor and when I dropped it from about waist high.
I just got the case, I honestly dont get the comments about it having sharp edges. I got the blue one and is beautiful, loveee it and my phone feels protected although a little heavier
