iPad Pro 2020 vlogging and camera picture quality first test 4K 60FPS
As mentioned in the video, this was pure test footage for my YouTube bezzie, Mr. Ian Craig. After looking at the footage and being pleasantly surprised, I decided to slap an intro, summary and some titles on it and put it live.
Just bear in mind that this was my first go at trying out vlogging on the iPad Pro 2020 and testing its image and camera quality. Despite the rough nature of this footage I'm really impressed with it.
The microphone used was a RODE lavalier GO. Although the mic distorts at times, this is not the fault of the microphone. The problem with distortion is simply the gain is far too high on the mic input for the iPad Pro 2020 and the Lav GO was actually the best matched lav I've got that the iPad distorted least.
To connect the mic I used a USB C headphone adapter for the iPad Pro which is wired TRRS and has a mono mic input. I then use a TRRS headphone microphone splitter adapter cable and then the TRS wired Lavalier GO connect to the microphone input of the splitter cable.
There may well be other mics that work better on this setup but mine all distort to some degree with the iPad Pro input gain being set far too high. However, I've had great results with other microphone input options for the iPad Pro and will show these in future videos.

My ethics.
I do not review Amazon products given to me for free in exchange for an Amazon website product review. DO NOT ASK.
I do review products available on Amazon but these are products that I’ve either bought myself or products sent to me for free or on loan to be reviewed specifically for my YouTube channel.
I always mention at the start of any videos if I’ve received any of the products being reviewed for free or on loan.
Other than technical input that may be useful to the viewer, I never accept any input from anyone who sends me products for my reviews.
I always try to be fair and balanced with my reviews but will always make it very clear if I find any issues with any products that I use or review.
