Save the tip on how to speed up an old laptop by 10 times for only $40.
I'll use Dell Inspiron 5000 series as an example. Turn off the laptop and remove the battery. Open the back cover of the laptop. There you will find the RAM and the hard drive. Disconnect the hard drive and remove it from the casing.
Install a new hard drive into the casing and carefully connect it to the motherboard.
Screw back all the screws, tightly close the cover. That's it. The laptop is ready for installing Windows.
And you can use the old hard drive for backup.
