In this video, we discuss the new Synology HAT5300 series announcement. This is Synology's new hard drive series with 8TB, 12TB, and soon 16TB drives that are re-labeled from Toshiba. We also discuss the three new NAS units the: Synology RS3621RPxs, RS3621xs+, and RS4021xs+ that Synology hopes to sell to the lower-end of the enterprise storage market. As part of the announcement, Synology is locking-down drives largely to its own. We also discuss the "Infiniband" term being used with the new NASes.
