Ive gotten much great use out of my iX500 for the past 4-5 years, and the only thing that prompted me to look at this iX1500 was the touch screen.
Specifically, it addresses the one minor annoyance I experienced when using the iX500.I like to manually specify the settings for my scans rather than just letting the software figure it out.
