First I removed the old piece of plastic handle and put the cleaver in rust remover. Then I washed it and impregnated via engine oil. The correction of shape and surface I used angle grinder machine and metal wire brush. After I finally corrected it via files and belt grinder. Also, I used electrolysis to remove the rest piece of rust and I etched the cleaver blade. For handle, I chose three different wood: nut tree, oak and ash tree. I sharpened the cleaver on a homemade polishing wheel, I have never done such a thing before. I was wondering if it would be possible to make descents on a knife. It worked! I spent the final sharpening on the stones. As usual I made an interesting and tasty test for you. I hope, you will enjoy this restoration video.
