Initial review:It's exceptional for multitasking.Fan does get loud occasionally when under load.Speakers that made me sell my old bluetooth speaker.Super fast Thunderbolt ports.
I decided that I would initially purchase the New 2020 MacBook Air, they have the new keyboards, double the SSD size from the previous model and the very latest intel 10th Gen processors - seemed ideal.
However, the chassis of the MacBook Air is not particularly cooling efficient and to avoid overheating Apple will throttle the speed of the CPU (or processor) and the cooling fan will regularly be on (which adds unwanted noise).

If you are you a light user (web browsing, email etc.)
than a MacBook Air would be perfect but it was enough to make me decide to go for a New MacBook Pro instead.However, the new MacBook Pro range in reality has 2 quite different versions...The entry level model has an 8th Gen Intel processor, only 2 x USB-C ports (used for charging, connecting accessories, displays etc.
), 256GB SSD and 8GB RAM, whilst only the top end MacBook Pro model has:(1) The latest 10th Gen Intel processor that is faster and more efficient. (2) More capable version of the Intel Iris Pro graphics.
(2) Mini-sub woofers speakers(3) A much better twin fan cooling system(4) 4 x USB-C ports. (5) Standard 16GB RAM (which is also faster RAM than the entry level 8GB MacBook Pro).
(6) Standard 512GB SSD Hard Drive.If you want the entry level but are thinking of upgrading the SSD and/or RAM than do not - just buy the higher end version.
The upgrade costs will push the price up to the high end model which comes with the bigger SSD/RAM as standard anyway and and you will miss out on all the other stuff above.The laptop itself is amazing, very expensive but the build quality and screen is the best Ive ever seen in a 13inch laptop.
