if you're new to my channel, I bought the 2020 macbook air when it was released in April 2020. After using it for 2 months, I decided it wasn't the right fit for me and sold it to buy the new macbook pro. i previously owned a 2015 macbook air and used it for college and editing videos/photos for 5 years. The macbook air is a great laptop for students/ people doing basic tasks, but is not built for editing.
