Macbook air 2020 DOTA2 Gaming TEST Guide intel Iris plus graphics

How Well does DOTA 2 play on the 2020 macbook air? I eventually got the game running with almost zero lag spikes of any kind and it can be played comfortably with medium or high graphics.

During the gaming test I start the graphics on default but soon realize it runs terrible with huge lag spikes. I am forced to run the machine on its lowest settings to get the most out of the machine. Later I realize the temperature of the room has a huge affect in this specific game. You can play in a cooler room to basically have no performance issues. Although if your gaming in windows and this is the best way to play dota 2 then you could also adjust the power plan settings in windows. I show you how to do this.

Most games run terrible in MacOS however I also do a test and find out MacOS actually runs fairly good it almost runs as good as in windows with a lot less tweaking.

Grab the 16gb version but stay away from the quad core i7 cpu as it tends to thermal throttle much more and is not worth the money.
