iPhone 12 MagSafe technology is indeed cool and has lots of potential. However it also can act as a magnet strong enough that can interact with pacemakers and ICDs - implantable cardioverter defibrillators.

This is an example showing how applying an iPhone 12 to a pacemaker will flip into "magnet mode" or asynchronous pacing. For an ICD - this would turn off tachy therapies, which could be life threatening! Something to be aware if you are a patient or work with patients in Cardiology and Electrophysiology.
