So, this did not go to plan, at all.

Broken RAM retention clips, faulty RAM DIMMs, overall this guide is as much of a what not to do as it is a what to do.

I know I made A LOT of mistakes, I chose to upload this anyway as it gives you an idea of what can go wrong, and perhaps reassures that you can still salvage and fix your mistakes.

I am not a seasoned PC builder, so this was. bit of a baptism of fire, in the past I've worked on some PC's but always with friends and other than that have done minor HD and previous easier RAM upgrades plus PS4 upgrades.

This being said, I did recently dissect my Dell G3 after spilling liquid on it, bringing it back to full health, perhaps that lead me into a false sense of security.

So, yes, this video will give you an overview of what it's like to upgrade the RAM in a 2018 i7 Mac mini, taking it from 16GB to 64GB of RAM.
