If upgrading to MacOS Catalina is for you then heres a quick guide on how to install. I didn't experience any systemic issues would Mojave and only chose to upgrade to Catalina first because of Apples prompt via systems preferences to upgrade to Catalinas operating systems.
If you need to downgrade back to Mojave. Please click the link in the description below.

Before you upgrade there are some things you should know:
1. Catalina does not support 32 bit apps so you would lose functionality
2. You need a stable and reliable Wifi connection preferably and not your mobile hotspot as this could cause problems or error warnings during upgrade
3. You need adequate storage to accommodate the dmg file
4. You cannot update to Mac 11 Big sur if your Mac book pro was bought prior to Mid 2012
5. You need OS 11 Big sur to get e.g a garage band app at 64 bit. Catalina would not support your garage band apps at 32 bit from Mojave
6. You may need to contact the developer of such apps and purchase their updated apps at 64 bits if available in Catalina
7.If perchance you need to downgrade you can restore your purchased apps at 32 bit in Mojave so not to worry.
8. Imperative you back up all your files in Time machine. Both old and new restore points could prove very crucial in retrieving files.
I was curious about Catalinas performance issues so decided to upgrade for test, performance and ambience purposes hopefully to revert to Mojave after testing.
