Apple's Siri voice assistant on its iOS devices makes it easy to check up on the weather, call a contact, check a sports score, set an alarm, and more -- all while hands free. However, whether you don't trust Siri or don't like Siri, if the voice assistant isn't working for you, you can easily turn it off on your iPhone or iPad in a few minutes.

Now let's walk through the steps to disable Siri on your iPhone or iPad.

Step 1. Tap to launch the "Settings" app on your iPhone or iPad, and then select "Siri and Search" in the Settings menu. The Siri and Search screen will be displayed.

Step 2. You'll need to tap to turn off all three toggles in the Ask Siri section. Eventually while tapping to turn off any of these toggles you have on, a Turn Off Siri window will pop up. Tap "Turn Off Siri" in this window. You'll return to the Siri and Search screen, where all visible toggles will be turned off, confirming that Siri has successfully been disabled on your Apple iPhone or iPad.
