Your iPhone will by default pop up with all sorts of notifications when you get a new message. However, if you want to hide a message you can follow along with these steps. First, you will want to turn off notifications so it doesn't pop up with an alert if you get a message. Second, we can hide the entire Messages app on your iPhone by deleting it from your home screen. This will completely hide any messages on your iPhone unless you search for the app and open it that way. This trick works for any iPhone from 12 to 11, XR, XS, 8, 7, 6, etc.
