Are you having problem setting up touch ID on 2nd generation iPhone SE? In this video we will show you step by step process to fix Can't set up Touch ID error on iPhone SE 2.


If you are trying to set up Touch ID on your iPhone SE 2, but you can’t do it. In this video we will show you how you can fix it. This problem could happen due to some software issue, or even a hardware issue.


Let's check out the step by step process to fix 'Can't set up touch id' error on iPhone SE 2


First Part (Force Restart):

This problem could happen due to some software issue, so you can do a force restart to fix it.

Step-1: Quickly Press and release Volume up key then Volume Down key
Step-2: Now press and hold the side key until you see the Apple Logo


Second Part (Software Update):

If your iPhone is not running on latest iOS, it could cause some software malfunction which in turn can cause this problem.

Step-1: Launch ‘Settings’ App
Step-2: Tap ‘General’
Step-3: Tap ‘Software Update’
Step-4: If it is updated to the latest version it will say it is updated to latest version.
Step-5: If not, Tap ‘Download and install’ to update it to latest version


Third Part (Reset All Settings):

This Problem could happen due to some customized settings, so you can do a All settings reset to fix the issue. It will erase all the customized settings from iPhone but it won’t remove any of your data and contents.

Step-1: Open ‘Settings’
Step-2: Tap ‘General’
Step-3: Scroll down and tap ‘Reset’
Step-4: Tap ‘Reset All Settings’
Step-5: Enter your ‘Passcode’ If prompted
Step-6: Tap ‘Reset All Settings’
Step-7: Again Tap ‘Reset All Settings’
Your iPhone will take auto restart and all the settings will go back to its default state. It will also erase your Passcode and Touch ID, and you have to set them up again. It should fix the issue.


Fourth Part (Hard Reset):

If nothing else works to fix this problem, to rule out any software issue causing the problem, you have to back up all your important data and content an do a hard reset by putting it into recovery mode. You can check it out.
