I had disabled my automatic updates on my iphone. In this video I enabled the automatic app updates for ios 13. It's easy:

Go to settings
Then click iTunes & App Stores
Finally click the toggle to Apps or App Updates until it's gray to turn off, and green to turn on.

Voila.. expect your apps to be automatically updated now!
