Thanks for watching my video, Please keep in mind I got lucky as said in this
video I was really expecting to see liquid damager and other nasty stuff.
When on ebay be carful of scammer's and false advertising, as I have been caught
out in the past also even with this Machine the seller didn't mention the microphone,
disc drive or HDD issue's but luckily these where easily fixed and my have been made
worse by transit, this could have been like many of my projects that needed more work
and or money than I am will in invest in them. As for this Macbook 6,1 Late 2009 Original
spec and changes are listed below.
Original Spec's would include on buying this machine:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo (P7550) (2.26 GHz)
RAM: 2GB DDR3 1066Mhz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M (256MB VRAM)
Storage: 500GB HDD (almost dead)
Battery: 58 Cycles (out of 1000 Cycles)
OS: Snow Leopard 10.5.8
New Upgrades and fixes:
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz (still waiting for that 4GB Stick)
Storage: 240GB SSD
OS: High Sierra 10.13.6
Thermal Paste replaced on all CPU and GPU
full clean inside and out.
After spending just under €120 for this Macbook was it worth it ?
for me yes, I love the white Macbooks and it run's as quick I would need
a laptop to run I don't really use this for gaming its more to a arm chair
laptop been able to cast videos to the TV from chrome as high Sierra is
still been supported as it should for another few OS generations, I say
this Machines was a steal especially what ebay is usually selling this
generation of Macbook for still sitting at the €150 - €200 these machines
definitely kept the value.
I would now recommend this as a first timer Mac or Macbook user's over a
newer Mac, even though the Mac Mini in the past was a Machine that was mean't
to be the PC converter for most first time Mac user's. I would totally have no
problem recommending this over the new wave of non-upgradable cheap Laptops
that have just flooded the market (eg the HP Stream 30GB SSD non upgradeable)
for college or casual users.
