First time using generic Bluetooth Mbit app to control "pins" on Microbit edge connector. This shows 2 LEDs controlled from Android cell phone via Mbit app. which seems to be a generic app which does not need to feed to a Microbit plugged into a powered brake- out board such as Robotbit or Superbit. So we can connect a cell phone to the Microbit and use 'pins' to connect via jumper wires to outputs such as LEDs. Here is the code: https://makecode.microbit.org/_HsMckWHikXcp
You can find the MBit app online..
this is what the MBit app looks like on-line. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yahboom.mbit&hl=en_US&gl=US
I have not tried my code with iPhone as yet.
You may need to find the app. with a QR code to your cell phone to download it.
