Upgrading an old company 2013 iMac that wasn’t being used anymore.
The iMac was suffering from slow booting and long wait times opening apps and files. It was destined for the recycle bin until I took a look at it and suggested to the boss some upgrades since it was the only Mac amongst all of the computers in the company.
After calling and speaking to an OWC-MacSales associate, they recommended their Mercury Electra 6G solid state drive and maxing out the RAM, all parts and tools costing a bit over $200 (purchased prior to the shutdown, prices have increased now).
When it was mentioned to our IT guy about this iMac, he said it was easy to do and would take about an hour to complete.
OWC-Macsales has the specific model iMac step-by-step install videos on their website if you are technically inclined and would like to do the work yourself.
Now this 8 year-old computer on Mojave is running faster than any of the Windows machines at the company.

I truly support the Right to Repair!!!

Please like and subscribe and I will put up more videos when I get the chance to record them.
