Why You Should Buy The iPhone 12.

1. If you have an older phone, like the iPhone 6 or 7, then it may be time to upgrade. Apple does a great job of updating their older phones. However, since these are older phones, then they might not be able to handle the new update. They may start to run slower; battery life may be deteriorated. So, if you notice your phone is not as fast as it once was then it may be time to upgrade.

2. More options. Rumors show there will be 4 iPhone 12 models. Starting at $699. This is the same cost as the iPhone 11. With phones costing over $1000 and if you wait on the iPhone 12, you can get it for the same cost as the current iPhone 11. Apple will be releasing varying screen sizes from smaller to bigger. They’ll have a phone for everyone pretty much whether you are looking for a smaller iPhone screen, or a bigger iPhone screen they’ll be a size for everyone.

3. 5G. These will be the first phones with 5G from Apple. There are several new 5G Android phones already, but Apple is expected to be the market leader and the company to usher in the new 5G era. So if you live in a 5G area, and are looking to get the best and faster speed, then a 5G iPhone may be right for you.

Why You Shouldn’t Buy The New iPhone 12.
1. Your current iPhone is still working just fine. If you still have an iPhone 8 one of the X models, X, XR or XS, or even the iPhone 11 and it’s still in good condition, then you don’t really need to upgrade. Other than 5G and better cameras, typically the new iPhones don’t change much from the previous generation. Unless there’s some new killer feature, that Apple announces, then you can keep your current phone.

2. Cost. If you do have an older iPhone and looking to upgrade, then Apple typically cuts the cost of the previous generation. So the iPhone 11 will more than likely see a price cut and it’s usually a $100. If you don’t mind being one generation behind, and you have an older iPhone, then the iPhone 11 might be a way to upgrade at a lower cost. You can even pick up the iPhone SE for $350, half the cost of the current iPhone 11 and even the iPhone 12, if you don’t mind a smaller screen.

3. 5G. I know this a reason to buy the new iPhone 12, but it’s also a reason to not buy the iPhone 12. 5G isn’t as widespread. 5G isn’t everywhere and as of now it’s limited on where you can get it. If you are not yet in a 5G area, then it’s no point in having a new 5G phone if you can’t take advantage of the faster speeds.

It also has a hard time of penetrating buildings, so even if you are in a 5G area, and inside, you may not able to get it. Being that 5G is not as prevalent as 4G, then you can probably wait another year before getting a new 5G phone. So before making the plunge into getting a new 5G phone, check your area to see if 5G is even available and where you can get it at. Also, every carrier is using a different version of 5G, so if you buy a new 5G phone with T-Mobile, then you may not be able to use it, on Verizon or AT&T 5G network, and vice versa.
