Apple's Being Forced to Redesign the iPhone.
So the upcoming iPhone 15s, are getting a last minute update. It's because of a new EU law that Apple thinks even Android users should be angry about. The law forces Android and iOS to allow for alternative app stores.
Apple's said this law is terrible for everyone, for 3 reasons. With the last one being the most honest.
3. Privacy. Right now, Apple reviews every app to make sure they follow Apple's privacy guideline. But according to Apple's CEO, other app stores, probably won't follow Apple's standard.
2. Security. This is Apple's head of software engineering. He said offering the choice of other app stores "would take away the choice of a more secure platform". I guess more choice, is less choice.
1. Money. All apps downloaded through the App Store, have to share 30% of their income with Apple. Alternative stores can avoid this rule, so Apple will make less money.
So it's understandable that Apple's upset,
