Just be sure to hook up to your pc to do update, takes about an hour, but if you dont you may have all kinds of strange issues. pros: easy to see, easy to operate, price was good, and replaces the cumbersome maps.
cons : address accuracy for cities, it does very good, for small towns, its fair and rural locations (on gravel roads) it does kinda poor. We have all three here in Nebraska, and rural address are very common destinations for us.
I do wish the voice activation would be used for excepting the final selections I did by voice, otherwise I still have to push buttons.
The one thing that seems to be a little slow is when you are about to go by you turn, it at the last few feet will say turn left or right, and unless you slam on the brakes or going about 10 mph or less, you will go right by.
but thats OK, we can figure it out, and am not expecting it to be 100% perfect. like a road map, its a travel aide, I still have to think.
I upgraded from my TomTom 130S to this model. The screen is larger and thinner, which are really nice. The touch screen responds a lot better than my old model.
It will also flip the screen if you turn the unit upside down, which is helpful depending on how you want to attach it to your car. You can either attach to the window, or it comes with a circular pad that you can stick to your dash, and then suction to it.
One thing that is different from the 130S is that the stand is no longer removable. But with the thin screen it is still pretty compact. I really like the lifetime traffic and maps feature that is included.
But was a little disappointed when I first tried to test the traffic feature. I had the GPS plugged into my laptop trying to download the updates and it said the traffic feature wasnt available.
I later realized that the traffic receiver is located on the power cable that connects to the cigarette lighter. If you dont have it connected to the GPS (and connected to the cigarette lighter) you cant get traffic updates.
