UPDATE: have had this for about 3 weeks and still no real issues.running the new iOS beta 14 and CarPlay looks and works fine. It froze once but that was probably the beta.
New CarPlay wall papers look nice and the new autosuggest iOS feature with Siri updates make this device stand out even more with a wireless experience!First the specs to see if you may have the same luck as me; pioneer head unit (aftermarket) w maestro so steering wheel controls also work.
Installed in 2015 4Runner. Plugged this in on the first day and it worked. Did the update just in case and still no real issues.
It can be a little hinky sometimes as in if you remote start your car then walk up with your phone it takes a few seconds longer to connect but playback is great.
Experiencing about. 1 second delay when i pause a song or move to the next.
It works for 2017 kia sorentoIt should work for almost all vehicles equipped with wired carplay.
Apple carplay automatically connected few seconds after car starts.Not having to connect lightning cable is so much convenient than i thought.Inevitably it has some audio lag as it is wireless.
Screen changes with no lag though as i skip a song or use google maps.
It works! Installed this on a Hyundai with factory Carplay and iPhone 10 running IOS 14 Beta. Was prepared for potential installation glitches; there were none.
Install went fast. Car boots into Carplay quickly: 38 seconds from cold start and then picks up currently/previously playing from the iPhone.
Well that’s about as long as it takes to get buckled in and ready to roll anyway, plus you can keep you phone in your pocket or in the console and no fumbling with the cord now.
