All shot on the iPhone Xs on the Mavis Pro(filmmaker app), a Ulanzi anamorphic lens and a variable ND filter.
4K UHD with 1.33 anamorphic squeeze
24fps, 180 degree shutter locked and lowest ISO possible
I used the phone's wide angle lens as opposed to the telephoto because it's an f/1.8 not f/2.8 which allows for a bit better foreground separation (background blur) when I want it, I also corrected the fisheye (lens barrel) distortion in Davinci, super impressed with this little lens tho, doesn't seem to be any softness or undesirable artifacting (except of course if you are not level or shaky it does some weird warpy stuff)
Used a Smallrig iPhone X cage, a generic fluid video head and a Manfrotto mpmxproa4 monopod modified with mini tripod legs.
(no colour profiles, no LOG, no flat, just REC709 from the iPhone)
Color corrected, graded and edited in DaVinci Resolve Studio 16.
In order to color correct I first used a REC709 to Linear vfx LUT, which gave the footage a LOG profile look (which is all any filmmaking app can do with a mobile phone video, it's not a real Logarithmic profile like the Filmic Pro app would have you believe) that is why I use Mavis Pro, it is the most professional cinematographer's app available IMO, the waveform monitoring and vector scope is the best quality of any other similar app.
Anyways, just taking a hike on a local trail to explore the area I live and test out my new bit of kit, I know some of it is overexposed and it's because I didn't have time to set the proper exposure before the train arrived, thanks for watching, if you have any questions please post them down below and I'll do my best to answer them.
