Ohio State Football transfer portal news: 2018 5-star CB Tyreke Johnson is no longer a Buckeye and is headed to another Big Ten school. Johnson, who played 77 snaps in 2020 for Ryan Day in a backup role, has transferred to Nerbraska and will have an opportunity to compete for a starting role with Scott Frost’s Nebraska Cornhuskers football team. Johnson played for 3 seasons in Columbus - and will have 3 years of eligibility left due to a redshirt year and 2020 not counting against his eligibility due to NCAA rules. Ohio State football transfer reaction: Johnson is from the same high school as former OSU DB (and current Baltimore Raven rookie) Shaun Wade. He was going to be a backup for the OSU defense again in 2021 if he had returned for his 4th season at Ohio State.
