It’s been awhile but it’s time for a gadget video! I upgrade my MacBook Air to a 480GB SSD using an interesting kit.

Why is the Transcend JetDrive 855 an interesting kit? Because it can be used as a regular external SSD via Thunderbolt OR you can use the included tools to swap the the SSD between your MacBook and Jetdrive.

For example my 2013 MacBook Air only has a 120GB SSD and it’s relatively slow by todays standards. So I took the 480GB SSD out of the Jetdrive and put it into the MacBook Then I put the 120GB from the MacBook into the Jetdrive.

A huge thanks to Transcend and PCWORX for their continued support! They’ve never even asked for anything in return, not even a video. They just ask if there’s anything I need and then give it!
