ITEMS I RECOMMEND FOR FRESHMEN:
Card holder for phone - This is great for storing your university ID card and having it easily accessible. You will need it to swipe into your cafeteria, the library, and your dorm, as well as other places. It's great to have it easily accessible without having to dig through your bags. -- https://amzn.to/33JLRzG / https://amzn.to/33Ke49A
Card holder wallet - I used this method all four years of college. I also attached it to a lanyard because sometimes you just need a good ole fashioned lanyard. -- https://amzn.to/3abt8OH / https://amzn.to/3gIs5YT
Misc items that often are forgotten until you need them that I highly recommend purchasing:
Rain boots - https://amzn.to/3is5xMe / https://amzn.to/31GZlto
Umbrella - https://amzn.to/2XLxNBH
Printer - https://amzn.to/30F57we
Sturdy backpack - https://amzn.to/3accFJY (I purchased this one in purple and it fit my everyday needs) / https://amzn.to/33IyIqz
Mini iron - It's all fun and games until you have a shirt or pants with wrinkles and nothing to iron them with -- https://amzn.to/3gJs330
Hand sanitizer - https://amzn.to/3ab0tsN / https://amzn.to/2CaVyeS (travel size)
Travel disinfectant wipes - https://amzn.to/30ELDro
Scissors - https://amzn.to/2F7YXwi

COMPUTERS/IPADS/TABLETS:
MacBook Air 2020: If you decide to purchase from Amazon, I recommend this because the older generations are about the same price if not more -- https://amzn.to/3ihwaUi
iPad Gen. 7: You don't necessarily need the latest and greatest iPad if you are going to use it for daily tasks and note taking, and even digital drawing. I had this version for my last year of college and it worked perfectly fine! — https://amzn.to/3ksVpES
iPad Pro 11 Inch: If you are looking for an everyday tablet with more processing capabilities and have the money to spend, this is a good option — https://amzn.to/30I6zhb
iPad Pro 12.5 Inch: If you are looking for an tablet to replace your computer, upgrading to the larger iPad model would be a good idea — https://amzn.to/31zAgAl / https://amzn.to/3gGZIu0
Apple Pencil: If you get an iPad, I highly recommend purchasing the Apple Pencil to go along with it — https://amzn.to/31xLmpu (AP1) / https://amzn.to/3gNjfsQ (AP2)
iPad cases:
iPad Gen. 7: https://amzn.to/33JNDRm
iPad Pro: https://amzn.to/33DEauK / https://amzn.to/2DRz4Qt
iPad magic keyboard — if you really have money to spend, try this out. I've never felt the need to have an external keyboard for my iPads because can just as easily use the keyboard on the screen, but you may find that you need a keyboard. You can also purchase a case with a built in keyboard to save on money -- 11 inch Pro https://amzn.to/3in1lNZ / 12.9 inch Pro https://amzn.to/3fJL4AO
iPad Keyboard Case: https://amzn.to/2CgY57w
Apple also offers free AirPods with a purchase of a MacBook or iPad for college. I’m not sure when this expires, but I’m sure it’ll expire soon. So grab the offer while you can.

NOTE-TAKING AND STUDYING APPS:
Notability - my ride or die notetaking app. I tried this one and Goodnotes and this app worked so much better for my brain. You can also record lectures and go back to a point in time where you were writing to hear the lecture at that point.
Goodnotes 5 — I’m not a big fan of this app, but there are people who prefer this over notability. It depends on your brain and your organization methods.
Cram — this is a website/app that lets you make digital flashcards for studying. You can quiz yourself and even play matching games to study. I used it for every exam and it helped me learn things easier than just reading it off of my notes page.
