The full Sony Xperia 1 III skinny following the official launch, with a review of the specs, camera tech, upgraded 120Hz 4K OLED screen and fresh gaming features. This could be one of the best smartphones of 2021, although the Xperia 1 iii won't be released until 'early Summer'. So ahead of my unboxing here's all you need to know about Sony's mighty flagship mobile, which launched alongside the 5 mark 3.

Admittedly there's not many surprises as far as the specification goes. We've got the upgrades we expected, including that super-smooth refresh rate. Performance is provided by a Snapdragon 888 chipset backed by 12GB RAM. And Sony has boosted the Xperia 1 iii's gamer chops with plenty of new tools, for use in PubG, Call of Duty etc.

A triple-lens camera setup is similar to last year's model, but now with a dual focal length telephoto shooter for zoom shots. You also get improved autofocus smarts, and an easier to use Pro Photo mode. Plus that 4500mAh battery will hopefully offer all-day life.
