Setting up a FAST Video Editing RIAD | Part 2 - Drive Install and SoftRAID Setup

I have had issues with my Promise Pegusus R4 since the upgrade to my new 15" Macbook Pro with Thunderbolt 3 and Catalina. Getting the Thunderbay 6, 6 HDD RAID enclosure with Thunderbolt 3 is going to hopefully alleviate those problems I have been facing the last few months and get me editing quickly without any down-time.

In this second instalment of a 3 part series, I take you through installing the drives in the new Thunderbay and setting up the software raid program called SoftRAID from OWC. This one ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and with a lot of disappointment around RAID 5 not being a workable solution for me for this video editing raid.
