Stimulus check update from the IRS:

I have heard from many people that they did NOT receive the first stimulus check when President Trump signed the HEROS Act back in March. The IRS just announced that they will be circling back for people who did not get their first stimulus check or the wrong amount for their family. The deadline for this has been extended to September 30th.

President Trump said that he will sign a bill this week if it includes; $1200 stimulus check, liability protection, paycheck protection program, and funding for USPS Post Office. Right now, Democrat lawmakers want $25 Billion for the USPS and an addition $3 Billion for mail in voting for the post office to handle mail in voting. It's called Delivering For America Act.

Since the focus has shifted from the HEALS Act to the USPS mail in voting, both Democrat & Republican lawmakers want to see funding for the post office. The issue isn't USPS and their normal operations, but it's a big debate for the election and mail in voting. Democrats are introducing a universal mail in voting ballot. The argument from Republican lawmakers & President Trump is the potential for mail in voting fraud. Just like how we saw the issues with the first stimulus check and people not receiving their stimulus check. Democrats, in response to mail in voting fraud, claimed that the extra funds from this stimulus package will help curb the mail in voting fraud.

So now we run into something interesting with Congress, the lawmakers are currently in recess from the August session BUT will be returning to DC to vote on the Delivering For America Act.......
Since it's an election year, Congress is willing to negotiate for VOTING (which is part of their election process) instead of utilizing the August session to finalize the stimulus package......
