RECREATING THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON - MARCH 2023

THE PROJECT

Last year I came up with the idea that it would be fun, as a challenge and a tribute, to produce a full recreation of the album to mark its 50th Anniversary in 2023. I would be playing all the instruments myself with a little help from my ex band mates in MacFloyd for the parts that for one reason or another I wouldn't be able to do!
My gratitude goes to Jane, Dee and Billy for their time and talent. This project wouldn't have been possible without them.
Recording started in January 2023 and it took me a little over 2 months to play, record, produce and edit the audio and video.
Every single part is recorded and filmed in real time. There are no mimed scenes or overdubs after the sessions were completed.

The parts were performed as follows:

Will Barbero - guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, piano, synth and vocals

Derek Clark - vocals, saxophone and synth

Billy Forbes - vocals

Jane Cleland - vocals
