Hello Guys, Apple’s new line of Apple Silicon M1 Processor chip-based computers could not have come at a better time. I have been thinking of upgrading my 13-Inch MacBook Pro (Intel-based mid-2014 model) for some time, it is a capable device but we can all agree that a 6-year-old device would struggle to keep up in today’s application power-hungry computing world.

The new Apple line up is quite powerfully and dwarfs their Intel-based predecessors with higher specs in almost every way. I have opted for a Mac Mini, considering that the current global health situation has compelled us to work from home, a reliable, powerful home computer is the way to go - at least for now.

I have done some benchmark comparisons to show why I have decided to go with the new Mac Mini, hopefully, this will help you make an informed decision if you wish to upgrade to a new M1 Chip-based Mac mini.
