David and David explain what to do when your iPhone is frozen. You can usually unfreeze an iPhone by hard reseting it. A hard reset forces your iPhone to abruptly turn off and back on again.

While a hard reset can temporarily unfreeze your iPhone, it doesn't actually fix the software issue that caused the problem in the first place. It's a good idea to back up your iPhone immediately in case the problem recurs.
