Moving to Apple Mac M1 from Windows PC - RTX, CPU & component scalping & high retail price insanity

So, just as the title is saying, I'm considering moving to Apple and the Mac Apple Silicon M1 platform from Windows for all of my serious PC work, which is mostly video and audio editing.

Having been on Windows for almost 30 years I have never seen anything as mad or as stupid as the way the X86 PC industry has gone, when I say X86 PC I'm mostly talking Windows desktop and workstation PCs.

This scalping of Nvidia RTX graphics cards has gotten way beyond out of control and is now affecting retail pricing, with many retailers now doing their own price hiking and that's before the scumbag scalpers start scalping the F... out of all the prices.

It's not just Nvidia GPUs but also AMD GPUs that this is happening to and we are now seeing other typical PC components such as power supplies, motherboards, CPUs and even cases being subject to price hikes and eBay scalping.

With all this uncertainty in the PC components market and it being almost impossible to build or spec a high performance Windows X86 PC with the latest AMD CPUs and Nvidia/AMD GPUs, even when paying mad scalped prices. It is starting to make way more sense and move over totally to Apple and their latest Apple Silicon M1 range of computers, including the Mac Mini M1, which I already have, and their very capable MacBook M1 and MacBook Air M1 laptops.

So far I've not seen any supply issues with these new Apple PCs and there's definitely been no price hikes at retail for Mac M1 products and the scalpers are being dealt with and kept out of the equation because of Apple's supply chain and readily available M1 product line.

This whole mess in the traditional X86 Windows PC market may actually end up being another factor that fuels the rise of Apple and their ARM based Apple Silicon computers.

What do you think, or am just going mad and missing the point?

I do review products available on Amazon but these are products that I’ve either bought myself or products sent to me for free or on loan to be reviewed specifically for my YouTube channel.

I always mention at the start of any videos if I’ve received any of the products being reviewed for free or on loan.

Other than technical input that may be useful to the viewer, I never accept any input from anyone who sends me products for my reviews.

I always try to be fair and balanced with my reviews but will always make it very clear if I find any issues with any products that I use or review.
