i bought my last laptop alllll the way back in 2012, when i first started college. i've been rocking with that same computer (macbook pro 13-inch, mid-2012 model) ever since, so this is my first upgrade in 8 years!! needless to say, i'm a bit excited.

i watched countless unboxing and review videos before deciding to make this (expensive af) purchase, so i figured i'd add another unboxing vid to the youtube world.

*laptop specs:
~ 16-inch macbook pro (released 2019) - space gray
~ 2.3.ghz 8-core intel core i9 processor
~ 64 gb 2666mhz ddr4 memory
~ amd radeon pro 5500m graphics card w/ 8gb of gddr6 memory
~ 1 tb ssd storage

(this configuration is pretty expensive -- my bank account is still recovering -- but i really spec'd this thing out in hopes that it'll last just as long as my last macbook, or about 8-10 years. i also wanted it to be able to handle all my creative work, like logic pro, final cut pro, adobe cc, or just having 30 internet tabs open simultaneously like i so often do...)
