Mac OS Monterey Vs Ventura on the 2020 M1 MacBook Air

Hey Guys.. I hope you have been doing well.. When the new OS is out and we definitely want to get in, on those new features and more importantly security updates.
But, with aging devices, we always have the thought in the back of the head - "What if my device slows down?”
And the M1 Mac Book Air has been around for 2 years now. It’ definitely not the upgrade cycle for most users. For one - I am planning to use my device for about 10 years. Anyway, all the talk aside, I did a geek bench test on Mac OS Monterey and then on Ventura.
The mac came in with Big Sur, which was pretty fantastic. and Monterey made things better. Let's see if Ventura lives up to the mark.
I first did a CPU test and then a compute test on Monterey.
And then, daringly, I went ahead and installed Ventura, which was a pretty big download. And then once Ventura was up, I did a geeek bench test again on the CPU and the compute benchmarks.

And here is how they stack up..
Remarkably, the Mac OS Ventura has marginally improved the Compute score and the Single Core and Multi Core GPU scores.. Marginal improvement. But, that's remarkable...

SO, yeah - There you have it... And I have been using the new OS on this 2 year old machine for about 4 days now and I have to say that there is no drop in performace at all. In fact, Safari seems to load a tad bit faster..
