The 2014 Mac mini is a great little machine, but easily sunk by the clunky old hard disk drive that shipped in the majority of configurations. This 1.4 GHz model was horrendously slow, but adding a simple SATA SSD turns it into an entirely new machine, a machine that is still very much usable for the majority of basic tasks today.

I'd like to say a massive thank you to Jamie for donating this SSD to the channel for this project
