Let's BBQ some Soy Curls and chat LIVE

Hey kids! Join us Thursday, July 30 at 8 pm ET as we bust out the grill and BBQ up some Butler Soy Curls. [NOTE: time change]

We'll cook up the Soy Curls live but we'll also have mac & cheese and steamed greens on the side. The mac recipe is below.

I'll be making my own BBQ sauce so the recipe for that will come later. To make it with a pre-made sauce just rehydrate the Soy Curls in hot water for about 10 minutes. Squeeze out the water and coat in BBQ sauce. Throw on the grill (you'll need a mat) and cook until slightly charred on each side.

Stovetop Mac & Cheese
INGREDIENTS
12 oz. dried pasta, elbow or other shapes
1 cup firm silken tofu
2 ½ cups plain unsweetened non-dairy milk
½ cup nutritional yeast
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon turmeric
¼ teaspoon cayenne
Freshly ground black pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS
Cook pasta al dente according to package direction. Drain, return to pot and set aside.
In a blender, combine the ingredients from the tofu through the black pepper and blend until smooth. Add blender ingredients to pasta. Stir and cook over medium heat until thickened, 3-4 minutes.

If you’d like to make this more of a one-pot meal, add veggies when you cook the sauce and pasta together. Try a cup of peas, a couple of cups of broccoli, or a cup of frozen spinach.

Note: this comes out pretty mild and is kid-friendly. Increase spices for more punch.
