My first destination on this fall trip to Europe was the charming city of Krakow, Poland. Here, I'd have my first experience with sightseeing in our very different post-pandemic world. My journey in this city would focus on its stunning Stare Miasto (Old Town), with the massive Rynek Glowny (Main Market) at its center. Here, I admired the stately architecture of the Town
Hall Tower, the Cloth Hall, and the twin-spired St. Mary's Basilica while wandering the cobblestone streets of the city's Royal Route.

I intentionally chose to eschew taxis where possible, and rely on my two feet for transportation, taking my time to soak up the beauty of Poland's second city and slowly savor its unique medieval ambiance. If you have never been to Krakow, you're missing out on one of Europe's finest cities.
