If you take gaming seriously at all, you'll know that mechanical keyboards are the kings of PC peripherals.

The consistency, durability, and feel of a mechanical keyboard is simply unmatched by anything a standard membrane board could offer. But with so many options out there, finding the one that is best suited for your needs can be a complex and confusing journey.

Some of us want to get a more premium experience from a brand we trust without breaking the bank. But where do you draw the line between quality and cost?

Well, it seems like PC peripheral giant Corsair has the answer. Their K100 Air ultra thin, wireless mechanical keyboard is one of, if not the most expensive pre-built keyboards to date, with a shocking $280 price tag.

But why? Why the hell is this pre-built more expensive than some customs? Is its low profile design the next big thing? What features does it have to justify the price tag? And is it even any good?
