There are rumors going around — because there are always rumors going around — that Apple is going to kill the Lightning port on the iPhone. Not to replace it with USB-C, no, but just to watch all the wires die.

Now, it probably won’t be with any of the #iPhone12 models released this year. But, maybe as soon as the next iPhone next year. And the entire industry is moving that way, not just Apple.
