There are really two compelling reasons to buy the 2021 iPad Pro, first, it's the Liquid Retina XDR Display found on the 12.9 iPad Pro and the second reason is Thunderbolt.

Whether you purchase the 11" or 12.9 iPad Pro M1, the Kensington StudioDock is rendered nearly useless in its current form.

that's because of 1) lack of thunderbolt support and 2) the new 12.9 iPad Pro 2021 is 0.6mm thicker than the previous generation.
