After the past 4+ months, I've been using the Apple Watch Ultra as my daily wrist device. If you're on the fence about buying it, here's 5 reasons from my personal experience that may help you decide against buying the Apple Watch Ultra.

5 Reasons You Should Get The Apple Watch Ultra: Coming Soon!

Reason #5 not to get an AWU. Be honest with yourself, how many of the new Apple Watch Ultra features are you going to use? How many have I used? How many have I used on purpose? The action button, brighter screen and the battery come to mind but everything else? Nope.

Reason #4 not NOT to get the Apple Watch Ultra? The size. It's a big piece of hardware and will be noticeable on your wrists. It sits high up on your wrist so it will bump into things more than a normal Apple Watch.

Reason #3? The bigger size of the Apple Watch Ultra doesn't translate to improved functionality of the one feature everybody uses which is the screen. Sure it's brighter and slightly bigger but given the 60% increase in size, one would think we'd get more out of the bulk.

Reason #2? not to get an Apple Watch Ultra. It's just another Apple Watch. I’m an average user and I use my Apple watch for important notifications from family, a calculator, flashlight, alarm clock and basically some form of insurance when I forget my phone, when I might fall or if my heart might does funny things. All those things, my Series 4 from 4 years ago would suffice.

Reason #1? Price. If I wasn’t a reviewer, could I justify to pony up the extra $300 dollars +/- $30 for the Ultra over the Series 8.? That’s a 50% price increase to go from the Series 8 to the Ultra. To put that into perspective, to go from an iPhone 14 to the 14 Pro, will only cost me an extra 25%. So I’m paying a premium for all the extra features that don’t really benefit me on a daily basis. And that’s the #1 reason why I wouldn’t get the Ultra.
