In this tutorial, you will learn Creating, Editing, Removing Folders on Your iPhone.

We all love to neatly organize all our apps on our iPhones. Creating folders is one of the most vital parts that helps us keep everything neat and tidy. Let’s take a look at how it’s done.

1. To create a folder, press and hold the icon of the first app you would like to move into a folder until all of your application icons begin to shake. Apple calls this the jiggle mode.

2. Press down on the app icon again and drag it across your screen to another app you would like to place in the same folder. Stop holding down the application icon to drop both applications into your new folder.

3. Note that the folder will be automatically titled by iPhone based on the applications contained within in it. For instance, placing two banking apps within a folder will result in the folder being titled "Finance."

To rename a folder, the actions are pretty much the same.

Go into the jiggle mode again while inside a folder and tap on the name of the folder. Or if you are already in the jiggle mode, simply open the folder and then tap on the name of the folder.

Once done, tap done on the top or click on the home button.

If you’d like to remove all apps from the folder and have it no longer take up space on your homescreen, simply enter jiggle mode and drag all apps outside of the folder. Once you drag the last app out of the folder, the folder will automatically disappear.

The option of folders for organizing apps is a great choice for a lot of apps that don’t get used on daily basis but you still need them on your phone.
