Dear all,
GSM is the 2G (2nd Generation) of Mobile System and today we have upto 5G technology. However up to year 2020, 2G is still in using in many countries to support voice service and its converge more distance than 3G/4G/5G .
This video provide you the concept of GSM Release 4 diagram which currently using . The legacy GSM in Core Network part ( MSC ) is obselete and have been replaced by new GSM in Core Network part ( MGW & MSC server) so called GSM R4.
In the Video also differentiate between legacy GSM and GSM R4 :
- Legacy GSM : use E1/E2 ( TDM ) and MSC
- GSM R4 : use IP, MGW & MSC server.
