GoPro Hero 9 vs GoPro Max 360. Side by Side Test underwater. We took the GoPro Hero 9 Black, GoPro Max 360, and GoPro Hero 8 to Mexico and spent 4 full days going to every adventure park and water park available at the Hard Rock Resort Riviera Maya. If I had to score the performance underwater and then attempting to use it right after you come out of the water. Here is my review, scorecard, and tips and tricks below.

UNDERWATER - POST WATER IMMEDIATE USE REVIEW

Under Water in clear blue well lit water. They performed fantastically. The second you hit shaded water, the footage was unuseable. After coming out of the water. Your audio is junk. It's also hard to tell when the audio is working vs not working without recording, playing back footage... even then sometimes it would be great then 10 minutes later it went to junk again.

PRO TIPS.
When you record in water. plan to not have audio for quite some time. Maybe 10-60 minutes if it's 80-90" outside.
Test Audio every 10 minutes. After 10-20 min without having muffled audio. You should be safe.
Keep a dry towel by the edge of the water. Having something to dry your lens off is MANDATORY. Anyone who says LICK the LENS must have some serious cotton moth. because that definitely did not work.
