I finally got my new 2020 MacBook Pro 13" loaded with the top of the line specs, except I went for a 2TB SSD drive instead of 4TB which was so much more.

Thanks to Oyen Digital for sending me the Helix USB-C 2TB SSD Drive which is extremely fast, small and lightweight.

I've had it for a while, but had so many problems with my used MacBook Pros that I purchased from Adorama. I went through 3 MacBook Pro 13, each with a different problem. So when I heard the new 2020 version was coming out with 32GB ram available, I decided to just pay full price for a new one.

I've been using the Oyen Digital Shadow Mini for years and love it, it's been my favorite external drive, but I need a lot of storage for my video editing so I've also been using the Seagate Backup Plus Slim drives, but they're so slow.

Here's my test showing the speeds of each drive. Of course the internal MacBook SSD drive is the fastest and most expensive, but it was expected to be the fastest since it's not limited by the external connection.

Overall the Oyen Digital Helix USB-C 2TB SSD drive is the best deal at $379 for 2TB and by far the fastest of the external drives. I spent $600 to upgrade my MacBook Pro from 512GB to 2TB, so expensive!
