It’s been almost a year and a half to the day since the original Mavic 3 was released and here we are in April of 2023, and DJI just released the Mavic 3 Pro. The Mavic 3 is one of our top selling drones and it is an absolute blast to fly and is the top choice for almost any industry utilizing drones.

We’ve noticed over the last 30 days that it has been difficult to order our stock on the Mavic 3, Mavic 3 refurbs, and Mavic 3 Cine’s. After doing some research, we have learned that DJI is discontinuing the Mavic 3 and all new Mavic 3 sales will be with the Mavic 3 Pro.

Now, don’t get upset if you just purchased a Mavic 3 2 months ago, because you still bought a fantastic drone, and it will continue to be supported through DJI in ways of firmware, repairs, and replacement parts & accessories. If you have DJI care on it, nothing will change and you are still protected and covered throughout the timeframe of your DJI care.

DJI was really smart when they came out with the Mavic 3 Pro because all of the accessories and batteries for the Pro all work on the standard Mavic 3’s of the past. You may have a Mavic 3 with thousands of dollars worth of batteries, controllers, etc, but all of that will work if you decide to upgrade to the Pro down the line. We have seen a Mavic 3 Pro standalone drone in the product line, but as of the posting of this video, to our knowledge, it has not been officially launched as a product yet. As soon as it does come out, we will post another video with that announcement.

We do know that over the last couple of years DJI has been releasing products faster than anyone else out there. It’s almost as if they took the iPhone approach and they are launching a new product every year to year and a half. The evolutions of drones over the last couple years have shown great strides in safety, abilities, battery life, and camera technologies and we can’t wait to see what is on the horizon.
