In this video we benchmark and review the AMD Threadripper system in Part 5 The Build. We compare the CPU performance and GPU performance and how it compares to the new Mac Pro. This computer, called a hackintosh, or more recently, a Ryzentosh, shows the performance that can be obtained from the CPU by having hardware that is thermally unconstrained, for the ultimate hackintosh or ultimate Ryzentosh.

Some would call it the Mac Pro killer or even iMac Pro killer and my first impressions would support those claims.

This video is based on the premise of "what if" Apple decided to make a Mac based on Threadripper. In April of 2017, Apple admitted the Trash Can Mac Pro was a mistake and were committed to creating a new Mac Pro. One month later, AMD unveiled, to everyone's surprise, Threadripper. AMD was targeting ThreadRipper for the World's Fastest Ultra-Premium Desktop Systems in an all new High End Desktop (HEDT) platform.

The new Mac Pro is back as a modular and configurable computer. It is wrapped in a very appealing chassis that is highly desired for the upgradability. However, it’s very expensive.
