The first of their kind, the Apple Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Samsung had developed "Active" watches previously, but never a large "Pro" model with such a lengthy battery life. Apple had never before produced a premium flagship watch aimed at serious sports. But are any of them worthwhile purchases?

The Apple Watch Ultra is the "superior" watch of the two, but that was to be expected considering that it costs almost twice as much. Apple gave it benefits that sedentary users will appreciate along with a ton of exclusive tools that make it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, but at an exorbitant cost. Although it is also quite pricey, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro doesn't have quite the same exclusive features as the Galaxy Watch 5.
